UPSC Current Affairs 2026
Current affairs is the one topic every UPSC exam names. The Civil Services Prelims syllabus opens with current events of national and international importance. CAPF Paper-I lists current events with culture, sports, governance, industry and relations among nations. NDA gives current events about a tenth of its General Knowledge part, and the CDS notice asks for knowledge of current events. The way it is asked differs. CSE uses the news as a trigger: a new Ramsar site, a scheme, a court ruling or a report becomes a question on geography, polity, the economy or environment. NDA and CDS ask more direct questions on awards, sports, appointments and defence exercises. CAPF also needs the news for its Paper-II essays on security, human rights and the economy.
This page collects GK24's daily current affairs for UPSC exams. The items are written in English and Hindi from official releases of the Government of India, dated by the day each release came out, and tagged to the exams they serve. Read one day at a time and note the static topic behind each item. Revise the month at its end with the monthly quiz. For the CSE Prelims on 23 May 2027, the months from early 2026 onward are the ones to cover.
