How the daily current affairs page works

This is the page to open every day. It shows today’s current affairs as the stories arrive, along with yesterday’s complete edition. New stories are added several times a day, from late morning to night (IST), and a final sweep early the next morning completes the day. That is why, in the morning, you will first see yesterday’s full edition, while today’s stories fill in through the day.

Each story is dated by the day its official release came out, mostly from the Press Information Bureau (PIB). So the page for any date lists the events of that date, not just whatever was published then. Every date has its own daily edition with headlines, one-liner facts, appointments, awards, schemes and MCQs, in English and Hindi.

A simple routine works best. Read the day’s stories, note the one-liners, and take the daily current affairs quiz, which covers the whole previous day and is published after midnight IST. Missed a few days? The 14-day date list on this page takes you back to any recent edition, and the month-wise archive has the older ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I read today’s current affairs?

Right here. This page shows today’s stories as they are published and yesterday’s full edition, in English and Hindi. Bookmark it: the date and the stories change on their own every day, so you never need to search for a new link.

Why does the page show yesterday’s current affairs in the morning?

Stories are added from late morning to night (IST), and a final sweep early the next morning completes the previous day. So in the morning, yesterday’s full edition is the most complete one to read. Today’s stories appear here as they are published.

What is in a daily current affairs edition?

Each date has an edition with the day’s headlines, one-liner facts, appointments, awards, schemes and practice MCQs. Every story also gives the key facts, an exam point of view on what can be asked, and the official source it is based on.

Is there a daily current affairs quiz?

Yes. A quiz covering the whole previous day is published after midnight IST. It has a timer, an instant result and answers with explanations. There are also exam-wise daily quizzes for SSC, Banking, Railway, UPSC and other exams.

How can I read current affairs of a past date?

Use the 14-day date list on this page for recent days, or the month-wise archive for older dates. Stories are dated by the day their official release came out, so each date page lists the events of that date.
