Corrections Policy

Exam preparation depends on accurate facts, so we treat corrections as a priority. If you find an error on GK24, we want to hear about it.

How to report an error

Email contact@gk24.in with the page link, a short description of what is wrong and, if you can, a link to a source that shows the correct information. Reports with sources are resolved fastest. You can also mention the question number for MCQs.

What happens next

• An editor reviews the report within two working days and checks it against primary sources.
• If the report is right, the page is corrected and its "Updated" date changes.
• For significant factual errors, such as a wrong name, date, figure or answer, we add a short correction note on the page so readers know what changed.
• If a claim cannot be verified from a reliable source, we remove it rather than leave it in doubt.
• A corrected MCQ answer key is re-checked by a second editor, and the explanation is rewritten if needed.

What we do not change

We correct facts, not differences of interpretation. Where sources genuinely disagree, for example on a figure that has been revised, we state the source we follow. We do not remove content simply because it is unflattering to a person or organisation, but we do correct it if it is inaccurate.

Transparency

Corrections are made on the original page rather than in a separate list, so that the page a candidate finds through search is always the corrected one. We may also update related monthly and yearly compilations that repeat the corrected fact.
