UPSC Quiz

Every UPSC objective paper deducts one-third of a question's marks for a wrong answer, so practice has to train judgement as well as recall. The quizzes on this page do that. Each question has four options, like the real papers, and is set in English and Hindi. Every answer comes with a short explanation that names its topic.

GK24 builds two kinds of quiz. The current-affairs quizzes come daily, weekly and monthly, made from the day's stories for UPSC exams, so the news can be tested in small steps and then revised at the end of each month. The topic quizzes come with each GK note, so a chapter can be tested on the day it is read. Take them against the clock. A CSE General Studies Paper-I question gets about 72 seconds and a CDS General Knowledge question about a minute. Practise eliminating two options, and leave a question you cannot narrow down. Track your accuracy by subject: a low score in polity or geography points to the note to reread, and a low score in current affairs to the month to revise. In the last two months before your exam, add one full-length timed test a week under your exam's own marking scheme.
