Banking Current Affairs 2026
Current affairs is the largest part of every banking awareness test. The Mains of IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk and IBPS RRB, SBI PO and SBI Clerk, RBI Assistant and NABARD Development Assistant each carry a General Awareness test of 40 to 60 questions, and RBI Grade B Phase-I carries 80. Banking exams lean on recent events, mostly from the six months before the exam. The recurring themes are the RBI's monetary policy decisions and circulars, appointments at banks and regulators, government schemes for finance, insurance and rural employment, the Union Budget and data on growth and inflation, reports and indices, awards, summits, sports, and important days. RBI and NABARD candidates also need the economic and social issues and the agriculture and rural development news behind their ESI and ARD papers. This page collects GK24's daily current affairs for banking exams, written in English and Hindi from official releases, with each item dated. Read it every day, keep one running sheet of rates, schemes and appointments, and take the daily, weekly and monthly current affairs quizzes to check what has stayed with you. When your Mains date is fixed, revise the six months before it from this page.
