16th Aero India to Be Held at Bengaluru in February 2027

Asia's largest air show is coming back. The 16th edition of Aero India will be held from 8 to 12 February 2027. The venue is Air Force Station, Yelahanka, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The organiser is the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence.

Who comes and what happens

The show is one of the world's leading aerospace and defence exhibitions. It brings together global aerospace and defence companies, policymakers, technology experts, innovators, industry stakeholders and personnel of the defence forces on one platform.

Five days are given to it. There is a full exhibition. There are business and strategic engagements alongside: industry meeting industry, government meeting industry, technology demonstrations and tie-ups. The part the public waits for is the flying. The Indian Air Force and international flying teams put up aerial displays that let visitors watch advanced aviation at work.

Registration and the portal

A dedicated web portal has been built for the 2027 edition. Exhibitors and visitors are served through it. Online registration and the booking of exhibition space are done at www.aeroindia.gov.in. Exhibitor registration was set to begin on 3 September 2026, the day after the announcement.

Why the show matters

Aero India is treated as a flagship international event for showing what India can now build in aerospace, defence manufacturing, emerging technologies and innovation. The 2027 edition is expected to push the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision further and to strengthen India's standing as a trusted partner in the global defence and aerospace supply chain. It is also meant to widen the field: Indian defence firms, including MSMEs and start-ups, get an opening for partnerships, investment, exports and technology collaboration.
