RRB JE GK Questions 2026

Static GK makes up most of the General Awareness syllabus of RRB JE, and General Science adds a larger block of its own. CEN 04/2026 lists Indian geography, the culture and history of India including the freedom struggle, Indian Polity and Constitution, the Indian Economy and environmental issues concerning India and the world. In CBT-1 these share 15 questions with current affairs, while General Science, which the CEN defines as Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences up to the 10th Standard CBSE syllabus, has 30 questions of its own. CBT-2 repeats the General Awareness syllabus in 15 questions and adds 15 on Physics and Chemistry, 10 on Basics of Computers and Applications and 10 on Basics of Environment and Pollution Control. This page holds GK24's topic-wise GK notes for RRB JE: Polity, History, Geography, the Economy, Art and Culture, Environment and Ecology, General Science and Computer basics. Each note is a set of short facts and tables in English and Hindi that can be revised in one sitting. Read one topic, solve its quiz and previous-year questions, and return to it a week later. With 15 General Awareness questions spread over eight areas, breadth matters more than depth, while General Science rewards thorough revision of Class 10 concepts.

  1. A.Angul, Odisha
  2. B.Raigarh, Chhattisgarh
  3. C.Hazira, Gujarat
  4. D.Bhilai, Chhattisgarh
Show answer
Correct answer: B. Raigarh, Chhattisgarh

The record road runs 1.85 km and was pursued jointly by the CSIR-Central Road Research Institute of New Delhi and Jindal Steel Limited, with the record conferred at an event addressed by Dr Jitendra Singh.

Q647.EconomyMedium

The joint venture will operate and expand which facility?

  1. A.The International Ship Repair Facility at Cochin
  2. B.The Vadhavan port project
  3. C.The National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal
  4. D.The shipbuilding cluster at Kandla
Show answer
Correct answer: A. The International Ship Repair Facility at Cochin

The agreement is specifically for operating, consolidating and expanding that facility, which the release says is strategically placed along major international shipping routes and has a state-of-the-art ship lift system along with modern docking facilities.

Q649.EconomyEasy

What is the shareholding pattern of the new Cochin Shipyard and Drydocks World joint venture?

  1. A.51:49 in favour of Cochin Shipyard
  2. B.50:50
  3. C.74:26 in favour of Drydocks World
  4. D.60:40 in favour of Cochin Shipyard
Show answer
Correct answer: B. 50:50

The release says both Drydocks World and Cochin Shipyard will each hold half of the joint venture, with the initial capital funded through equity contributions from both parties, and it describes the arrangement as a first-of-its-kind public-private partnership in India's ship repair sector.

Q650.Science & TechnologyMedium

Which mission of the Department of Science and Technology partly funded this study?

  1. A.National Supercomputing Mission
  2. B.National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems
  3. C.National Quantum Mission
  4. D.Deep Ocean Mission
Show answer
Correct answer: C. National Quantum Mission

The correct answer is the National Quantum Mission, described in the release as the flagship mission of the Department of Science and Technology, which funded part of this study.

Q651.Science & TechnologyMedium

What is meant by entanglement sudden death?

  1. A.The complete decay of both particles to the ground state
  2. B.The abrupt vanishing of entanglement at a finite time, before decay is complete
  3. C.The failure of a quantum computer to read out a result
  4. D.The collapse of a wave function on measurement
Show answer
Correct answer: B. The abrupt vanishing of entanglement at a finite time, before decay is complete

The release explains that each of two entangled particles tends to slip from the excited state to the ground state the way an atom loses energy to its surroundings, and that the entanglement weakens as this happens.

Q652.Science & TechnologyMedium

Which institute led the study on delaying entanglement sudden death?

  1. A.Indian Institute of Astrophysics
  2. B.Raman Research Institute
  3. C.Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics
  4. D.Tata Institute of Fundamental Research
Show answer
Correct answer: B. Raman Research Institute

The team worked with the University of Calgary and Louisiana State University, and the study was funded in part by the National Quantum Mission, the flagship mission of the same department.

Q653.Science & TechnologyHard

Which structural arrangement is the fundamental requirement for piezoelectricity, according to the study?

  1. A.A centrosymmetric crystal structure
  2. B.An amorphous structure with no order
  3. C.A non-centrosymmetric structure
  4. D.A body-centred cubic structure
Show answer
Correct answer: C. A non-centrosymmetric structure

The release explains that controlled chiral self-assembly aligns the molecular dipoles into such a structure, and calls it a fundamental structural requirement for piezoelectricity.

Q654.Science & TechnologyMedium

How did the researchers switch on a strong piezoelectric response in the peptide material?

  1. A.By changing the chemical composition of the peptide
  2. B.By adding one per cent of a suitable co-solvent
  3. C.By coating the peptide with a ceramic layer
  4. D.By heating the peptide above 500 degrees Celsius
Show answer
Correct answer: B. By adding one per cent of a suitable co-solvent

The team found that in water the peptide molecules form nanofibers and show no piezoelectric response. Introducing just that small share of a co-solvent reorganised the molecules into a highly ordered supramolecular arrangement, and the piezoelectric response switched on at once.
