Defence Current Affairs 2026

Current events are scored in every defence exam. In NDA & NA, Current Events is Section F of Part B of the General Ability Test, about 10% or 40 marks as per the notice. The CDS notice names current events in its General Knowledge syllabus, and the CDS (II) 2026 paper had about 10 plainly current questions, among them the 2026 Padma awards and the 2026 International Booker Prize. The Army's Agniveer syllabus asks about important events in India and the world, prominent personalities, sports, awards and the Indian Armed Forces. The Navy's INET has a General Awareness section for both SSR and MR. This page gathers GK24's daily current affairs tagged for NDA, CDS and Agniveer. Each item is written from official releases in English and Hindi and dated by the day the news was released. Read it daily, and keep a separate list of defence news: exercises, appointments, inductions of ships and aircraft, and DRDO and ISRO launches. Cover at least the 6 to 8 months before an NDA exam and 8 to 10 before CDS, and revise each month at its end.
