The Ministry of Corporate Affairs closed Special Campaign 6.0 after 75 cleanliness drives that freed 23,285 sq ft of office space and earned Rs 11,41,975.

Why in News
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs announced on 31 October 2026 that it had concluded Special Campaign 6.0 on cleanliness nationwide, with 75 campaigns, 23,285 square feet of office space freed and revenue of Rs 11,41,975, while DARE and ICAR institutes reported their own activities under the same campaign.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has closed its nationwide Special Campaign 6.0 on cleanliness, reporting gains in office space, record keeping and the clearing of public grievances. The ministry met its target in full by holding 75 cleanliness campaigns.
The figures the ministry reported
| Cleanliness campaigns held | 75 |
| Office space freed | 23,285 square feet |
| Revenue earned | Rs 11,41,975 |
| Revenue from e-waste | Rs 5,22,000 |
| Physical files reviewed | 3,658 of 9,309 items targeted |
| Grievances resolved | 322 of 330 |
| Grievance appeals cleared | 342 of 435 |
The money from e-waste came from information technology, telecommunication, consumer electronics and electrical equipment that the ministry disposed of. In record management the files reviewed were weeded out and closed. The ministry also moved references received from Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office and State Governments.
The campaign in the research institutes
The Department of Agricultural Research and Education and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) also kept Special Campaign 6.0, with cleaning drives and better office space at their institutes. Their work covered the separation of waste and its careful handling, the reuse of material that still had life in it, and awareness activities that drew in staff, farmers and local people. Record management, digitisation, plantation and environment friendly practices, scrap disposal and electronic waste management were part of the same effort, and institutes kept looking for black spots in and around their premises to clean them up.
Metal and plastic waste was kept apart from general waste, corridors were cleared and organised, and campuses held free medical camps. Sanitation workers, the safaimitras, were felicitated, a practice the institutes have continued. Cleaning was extended to farms, fields and the roads around the campuses, and photographs of the before and after state were shared from institutes such as ICAR-CITH in Srinagar.
Why such campaigns are held
Special Campaigns of this kind are run across ministries and departments to dispose of pending files and scrap, free up space, settle public grievances and make offices work better. For an aspirant the numbers of the sixth edition, and the fact that it covered cleanliness as well as record management and grievance redress, are the points to carry away.
