NMDC commissioned a Rs 5,427 crore integrated iron ore project in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, with a 2 MTPA pellet plant at Nagarnar and a 135 km slurry line.
India's steel production, consumption and trade all rose between April and August 2026, and NMDC mined 4.07 million tonnes of iron ore in August alone.
