SSC GD Constable Current Affairs 2026

Current events are named in the SSC GD syllabus. The GD 2026 notice says General Knowledge and General Awareness tests knowledge of current events along with the scientific side of everyday life and India and its neighbours in Sports, History, Culture, Geography, the Economic Scene, General Polity, the Constitution and Scientific Research. In practice that means about 5 to 8 of the 20 questions in Part-B come from the news of the 6 to 12 months before the exam, and the notice's own order tells you what SSC likes here: sports first. Expect questions on tournaments and their winners, Indian medallists, the venue of a summit, a new scheme and its ministry, an award and its field, a defence exercise and the partner country, an appointment to a constitutional office, or a book and its author. The questions are one-line and factual, set at Matriculation level, and the same event is often asked across many shifts with the options changed.
