What the games are for
The AISSNG was held from 3 to 7 November 2026. It is organised as a platform for national integration, cultural exchange and mutual understanding: cadets drawn from Sainik Schools in different parts of the country meet, trade knowledge, languages, customs, beliefs and ideas, and build lasting friendships and a shared sense of national pride. Sport is therefore only part of the purpose, which is why a debate championship and a quiz competition sit on the same programme as basketball and volleyball, and cadets compete with words as well as with the ball.
Who attended
The closing ceremony drew serving and retired defence officers, ministers, public representatives and senior administrators.
