India Mining Week Shifted to 24-26 February 2027
The Ministry of Coal has moved India Mining Week from November 2026 to 24-26 February 2027 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi.

Why in News
On 16 October 2026 the Ministry of Coal announced that India Mining Week, earlier set for 15 to 17 November 2026, will now be held from 24 to 26 February 2027 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi.
India Mining Week, the flagship event of the Ministry of Coal for the mining sector, will now be held from 24 to 26 February 2027 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. It had first been scheduled for 15 to 17 November 2026, and the new dates were announced on 16 October 2026.
Why the dates were changed
The decision came after the ministry consulted industry partners, exhibitors, speakers and government stakeholders. Three reasons are given for the shift. The revised dates do not clash with other large industry and government events. They are expected to draw the fullest possible participation from ministries, public sector undertakings and delegates from abroad. And they fall outside the festival season and the winter travel weeks, which makes travel easier for Indian and foreign visitors alike.
What stays the same
- The venue remains the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi
- The programme themes are unchanged
- The format of the event is unchanged
- All registrations, exhibitor bookings and sponsorship commitments move automatically to the new dates
What participants should do
Delegates and exhibitors who cannot attend on the new dates have been asked to contact the India Mining Week team to discuss the options open to them. Updated schedules, announcements of speakers and other details will be put out on the official website of the event and through its official channels. No separate re-registration is needed, since existing bookings carry over.
What the event is for
India Mining Week brings together mining companies, suppliers of equipment and technology, policymakers, investors and specialists from the industry to discuss where the country mining sector is headed. It is built around three parts, an exhibition, a conference and business networking sessions. Through them the event showcases new technology, practices that make mining more sustainable, and openings for investment across the mining value chain, from exploration and extraction to processing and supply. For an exam candidate the points worth noting are the organising ministry, the fresh dates, the venue in New Delhi and the fact that this is the ministry flagship mining event, since questions on government events usually ask for exactly those details.
