The release names their adoption as a major outcome of the deliberations, and explains their purpose: to guide result-oriented cooperation among the member offices, to promote cross-border innovation, and to strengthen joint efforts in shaping global intellectual property standards.

The three-day meeting was held there from 1 to 3 September 2026, hosted by the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, which functions under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
