RRB JE Current Affairs 2026

Current affairs is the first item in the General Awareness syllabus of RRB JE. CEN 04/2026 lists knowledge of current affairs, sports and general scientific and technological developments alongside Indian geography, history and culture, polity, the economy and environmental issues, and it sets the same syllabus for the 15 General Awareness questions of CBT-1 and the 15 of CBT-2. The two tests are months apart: in the previous cycle, CBT-1 was held in February 2026 and CBT-2 on 2 July 2026. A candidate who clears CBT-1 therefore has to keep current affairs fresh for a second paper. RRB questions on current events are short and factual: who won a tournament or an award, where a summit or a joint exercise was held, which ministry runs a new scheme, which satellite or mission was launched, and what a report or index ranked. Environment news counts twice, since CBT-2 also has 10 questions on Basics of Environment and Pollution Control.
