RRB Group D GK Questions 2026

Static GK is not a separate section in RRB Group D, but it decides most of the paper's recall marks. General Science is 25 questions of Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences at 10th standard (CBSE) level as per CEN 09/2025, and the 20 General Awareness questions lean on the standing facts behind the news: the sport, the award, the institution, the state, the river or the scientist an event touches. This page holds GK24's topic-wise GK notes for RRB Group D. The General Science notes go topic by topic through motion and force, work, energy and power, gravitation, heat, light, sound, electricity and magnetism, atomic structure and the periodic table, chemical reactions, acids, bases and salts, metals and non-metals, and carbon compounds, and the Life Sciences notes cover cells, the human body, nutrition, diseases, plants and genetics. The static GK notes cover Indian Railways zones and facts, national symbols, first and largest in India and the world, awards and honours, important days, books and authors, sports GK, art and culture, and the basics of Indian Polity, Geography, History and the Economy. Each note is short facts and tables that can be revised in one sitting. Read a note, then solve its quiz and the previous-year questions on this site to check what stayed.

Consider the following statements : I. Zinc metal, when treated with both HCl (aq.) and NaOH (aq.) separately, produces molecular hydrogen. II. An aqueous copper sulphate solution cannot be kept in a zinc vessel. III. Lemon, tamarind and tomato are natural sources of citric acid, oxalic acid and tartaric acid, respectively. Which of the statements given above are correct?

  1. A.I and II only
  2. B.II and III only
  3. C.I and III only
  4. D.I, II and III
Show answer

Dengue virus causes high fever, rashes and reduces the number of a particular type of blood cells. Those blood cells are

  1. A.Monocytes
  2. B.Platelets
  3. C.Eosinophils
  4. D.Neutrophils
Show answer
Correct answer: B. Platelets

Dengue is known for lowering the platelet count, which can lead to bleeding in severe cases. Dengue is a viral disease spread by the bite of the Aedes mosquito, mainly Aedes aegypti, which breeds in clean, stagnant water and bites during the day.

Which one of the following statements about microbes is not correct?

  1. A.They are used in sewage treatment plants.
  2. B.They are used in industrial fermenters for the production of beverages.
  3. C.No antibiotic has been obtained from any microbe.
  4. D.They are used to get many bioactive molecules for the treatment of diseases.
Show answer
Correct answer: C. No antibiotic has been obtained from any microbe.

This is false, because most antibiotics, starting with penicillin, come from microbes. Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin in 1928 from the mould Penicillium notatum, which stopped the growth of bacteria around it.

The oxygenated blood from the lungs is received by the

  1. A.left auricle
  2. B.left ventricle
  3. C.right auricle
  4. D.right ventricle
Show answer
Correct answer: A. left auricle

Oxygen-rich blood from the lungs returns through the pulmonary veins into the left auricle (left atrium) of the heart. The human heart has four chambers: two upper auricles (atria) that receive blood and two lower ventricles that pump it out.

Q917.General ScienceAsked in: NDA · NDA-I 2021, GATEasy

A current of 1.0 A is drawn by a filament of an electric bulb for 10 minutes. The amount of electric charge that flows through the circuit is

  1. A.0.1 C
  2. B.10 C
  3. C.600 C
  4. D.800 C
Show answer
Correct answer: C. 600 C

Charge equals current multiplied by time, and 1.0 A for 600 seconds gives 600 coulombs. Electric current is the rate of flow of charge, so I = Q ÷ t, or Q = I × t. Time must be in seconds: 10 minutes is 10 × 60 = 600 seconds.
