In his foundation day message, which state did the Prime Minister describe as advancing on development while the roots of Naxalism are being removed?
- A.Jharkhand
- B.Odisha
- C.Chhattisgarh
- D.Telangana
Correct answer
Explanation
The correct answer is Chhattisgarh. The message for the foundation day of Chhattisgarh said it was heartening to see the state move ahead with renewed momentum on the path of development even as the roots of Naxalism were being eradicated, and the same message spoke of the state’s tribal culture, its natural wealth, its unique folk traditions and its rich archaeological heritage. Options A, B and D name Jharkhand, Odisha and Telangana. These are states that are often grouped with Chhattisgarh in discussions of tribal populations or of left wing extremism, which makes them plausible choices in a question of this kind, but none of them is the state addressed in this particular foundation day message, so all three are wrong. The other two states greeted on the same date were Haryana and Madhya Pradesh, each with its own set of themes.
