UPSC Civil Services Quiz
Quizzes turn UPSC reading into marks, because General Studies Paper-I rewards accuracy under time: 100 questions in 2 hours, 2 marks each, with one-third of the marks deducted for every wrong answer. The quizzes on this page follow the Prelims format, in English and Hindi: multiple-statement questions, match-the-pairs and single-fact items on the static topics of the notice and on current affairs, each with the answer and a short explanation that names the topic. Practise them timed at about 70 seconds a question. Learn to eliminate two options and decide whether to attempt the rest, and to leave a question you cannot narrow down, because an unanswered question costs nothing while a wrong one costs 0.67 mark. Track your accuracy by topic; a low score in Polity or Environment points to the GK note to reread, and a low score in current affairs points to the months to revise. In the last three months before the Prelims, take a daily current-affairs quiz, a weekly topic quiz and a full-length General Studies mock every week, and keep an error log. GK24 adds new quizzes as its daily current affairs and GK notes for UPSC grow.
