Who is the Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research who attended the review meeting?
- A.Atish Chandra
- B.Dr M. L. Jat
- C.Bhagirath Choudhary
- D.Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Correct answer
Explanation
The correct answer is Dr M. L. Jat, the Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, who attended the virtual review meeting. Option A names Atish Chandra, who was present as Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, a post in the ministry rather than in the research council. Option C names Bhagirath Choudhary, the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, who also attended. Option D names the Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who chaired the meeting with the state agriculture ministers. Questions of this kind reward a candidate who files each name with the right post, so note the four together: the Union Minister, the Minister of State, the department secretary and the head of the research council.
