Which city is hosting the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation?

  1. A.Tashkent
  2. B.Dushanbe
  3. C.Astana
  4. D.Bishkek

Correct answer

B. Dushanbe

Explanation

The correct answer is Dushanbe. The Ministry of Defence has said that the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation takes place in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on 19 and 20 October 2026, and that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh travels there to speak for India. Option A, Tashkent, is the capital of Uzbekistan and is not the host city named for this round of the CHG. Option C, Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, is likewise not the venue of the 25th meeting. Option D, Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, is also wrong for the same reason. Candidates should also keep in mind that the meeting before this one was not held in any of these cities either: it took place in Moscow, the capital of Russia, on 18 November 2025, with External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar representing India. So the pairing to remember is the 25th CHG meeting with Dushanbe, and the round before it with Moscow.
