What is the last date for registration of NMMSS applications for the academic year 2026-27?
- A.15 October 2026
- B.31 October 2026
- C.15 November 2026
- D.30 November 2026
Correct answer
Explanation
The correct answer is 31 October 2026, the closing date for registering applications for that academic year. The other two dates in the options are real but belong to the next stage of the process, which is verification. An Institute Nodal Officer has to complete verification by the middle of November and a District Nodal Officer by the end of that month, so option C and option D are verification deadlines rather than the registration deadline. Option A is the day on which the Ministry issued its statement about the workshop and has no bearing on applications. The Ministry stressed that nodal officers at state, district and institute level must verify accurately and on time, since it is aiming at full saturation of the scholarship with no eligible child left out.
