SBI Current Affairs 2026

Current affairs is the largest part of the awareness test in both SBI exams. SBI PO Mains has Test III, General Awareness/ Economy/ Banking Knowledge, with 60 questions for 60 marks in 45 minutes, and SBI Clerk Mains has General/ Financial Awareness with 50 questions for 50 marks in 35 minutes; neither Prelims has an awareness test. The Bank's own booklet calls the test an index of your awareness of people and events, past and present, in different walks of life. In practice most questions come from the six months before the exam: RBI policy decisions and circulars, government schemes and their ministries, appointments to banks, regulators and constitutional offices, awards, summits and their venues, reports and indices, sports, defence exercises, science and space missions, and the news of SBI itself. The question is one line with five options and often ties the event to a fact, such as the rate the RBI changed or the State where a scheme began.
